10 Hypoallergenic Dog Breeds

If you’ve always dreamed about having a furry companion, but have constant sneezing attacks around them, you are in luck! Not all dogs will send you running for the tissues. In fact there are about fifty dog breeds on record that do not produce the same allergic reactions as other dogs can. Every case is different and every person’s health (and dog’s) will vary, the breeds listed below produce less dander. Dander is composed of tiny flecks of skin and is the main reason for allergic reactions to dogs, cats, and other pets. Proteins found in saliva can also be an issue in dogs, since they clean themselves constantly and can transfer dander and saliva to different areas of their bodies and their homes. While these breeds are less likely to produce a reaction, it is also best to keep the dog off the furniture of someone who is usually allergic to dogs, out of that person’s bedroom, and to sweep and dust frequently.
