Top Movies for Dog Lovers

Every dog owner and lover appreciates films centered on dogs, mainly due to how cute they are. Ranging from Disney movies to true stories, dog films always have a massive appeal to them. If, however, you haven’t yet seen one of these films, be warned that the following list contains spoilers.

  1.  Hachi: A Dog’s Tale

    This movie is based on the true story of an Akita that long awaited for his deceased owner. It stars Richard Gere, who plays the dog’s owner, and portrays the unending loyalty of dogs.
  2. Beethoven

    This particular movie is so beloved by every generations that its has 7 sequels and has also been turned into a TV series. It follows the story of Beethoven, an adorable St. Bernard, and his life with his human family.
  3. Lassie

    Undoubtedly a classic, Lassie centers on the astounding journey home of a lost Collie. She was separated from her family due to a financial crisis and sold to somebody hundreds miles of away. This, however, didn’t stop her from finding her own way back home to her true family.
  4. Marley & Me

    A rather sad movie, Marley & Me features the life of a Golden Retriever and his emotional journey and life with his family. It stars Jennifer Aniston alongside Owen Wilson and used 22 different Golden Retrievers to complete it.
  5. 101 Dalmatians
    101
    Another top dog movie is 101 Dalmatians, where Cruella de Vil attempts to steal many dalmatians for their distinguished fur in order to make herself a lavish fur coat. Fortunately, their owners find them and save them before any unfortunate events.
