Top Dog Food Ingredients That Keeps Dogs Healthy

A study by a group of researchers and dog experts partnered with Reviews.com, asked dog owners around the nation what ingredients in dog food would be best for their dogs. This study urges dog owners to pay attention to the ingredients in canned or other commercial dog food. For example, when looking at food labels any ingredients from facilities should be avoided. Terms like “meat”, “meat meal”, or “dry rendered tankage” could be signs of warped spoiled meat. The study also warned of the human foods that can be harmful to dogs like onions, garlic, avocado, corn, wheat, soy and beet pulp. Here are the lists of good and bad ingredients in dog food:

Bad Ingredients:

– BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin, propylene glycol, sodium selenite

– Meat, meat-meal and by-products

– Corn, Wheat, soy, beet pulp

– Products from China and rendering plants

– Onions, grapes, garlic and avocados.

Good Ingredients:

– Fish, Chicken, Beef, Duck, Liver and Eggs

– Oats and Quinoa

– Omega 3 Fatty acids, Glucosamine & Chondroitin

– Certified Organic

Since a few major dog food brands have been met with lawsuits over their products Reviews.com  advise that dog owners should trust ingredients rather than food brands.
